The Universal Thread provides an online interface, which is accessible from within a browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape, and a Web Service interface to expose its data. Those are the only two interfaces supported. Any other mechanism used is not allowed.

Although I guess it is allowed if the e-mail is sent directly thru the interface provided (the e-mail button)

Personally I don't view copy/paste usage as a violation to the above - IE and Windows both "support" those features.

On the other hand, e-mailing lots and lots of messages to a non-member (and possibly a banishee) for a purpose like hassling some contributors' message content by direct e-mail contact with the contributors is, to me, in the same league as sending letters to employers.
I don't know how you stop it though - or even prove it.
