Michel,

>...But, if you recall my former post on the topic, I mentioned that rules would change and one would forbib posting non technical content to the site, such as irrevelant content to the topic of a forum.

I don't envy your position in trying to keep this place running smoothly -- it's a balancing act for sure.

I certainly hope that you don't have to remove Chatter sections from the site, as they provide the place for "community" to happen much more than the technical-only sections.

However, I do agree with your complete right as owner of the site to ban members for whatever reason you see fit without any explanation to the rest of us. I think you have done a good job over the years of making the rules clear, and I'm sure (based on your recent posts) that you have handled some very difficult situations behind the scenes privately that we can only speculate about.

And I think you have tried to understand the desire of site members to know WHY someone was banned while still maintaining privacy that may be necessary for legal reasons.

I'm not going to comment one way or the other about whether Kevin should have been banned because I don't know all of the facts (and don't have a right to know).

Thanks again for providing this place for us to use. But please don't get rid of the Chatter sections, because I think that would destroy the UT.
