A small road is a two-lane road in a small German town that's only as wide as a single lane over here and you're trying to maneuver a tank around a turn on it! :o)

>You have more experience with Irish roads than I do so I stand corrected. They seemed awfully small to me compared to American roads, but apparently I made too much of it.

>>Not sure I agree with Mike about driving in Ireland. In much of Ireland, although roads can be small, they are also very quiet. Compared to the UK I *enjoy* driving there (but I'm used similar country lanes here). OTOH it's great for cycling also - mostly not too hilly, not too flat.

>>>Yes it should be fun and their youth and energy should offset my lathergic ways. Thanks for the heads up on the rural roads. Perhaps I need to look into renting a couple dual sport bikes instead, that would be far more fun anyways.
