>Hi,
>You are wrong, the current recognition technology can identify all occupants in each car on a six lane highway in realtime, as well as do a registration check, vehicle color check, and make and model of the vechicle, and it runs on a laptop.

Identified all six occupants in a moving vehicle. Wow. Amazing they could even see all six. Must have and incredible photometric database with some awesome processing power. I know some of the MI-5 folks who process CCTV feeds in London. They'd love to get their hands on something this good.

But aren't you worried? I mean, that sounds a lot more intrusive than fingerprints. You must be terrified. I don't think I want to go to
Australia and be subjected to that kind of Big Brother surveillance <s>

>>>Hi,
>>> It is a basic concept that many people have difficulty addressing, but then again, we are all treated equally these days, equally guilty.
>>>
>>> The fact is this, if I haven't done anything wrong I don't have to give the authorities anything, if you do something wrong you give up that right or is going to your country to visit a bad thing and warrants such action.

>>> With present day technology, the passport can still do the job as it always has, and with current facial recognition systems that have been implemented they need no more.

>>Current facial recognition systems are as reliable as hiring a medium to get clues from the afterlife.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
