>Not sure if it is an option for you but may want to look into upgrading to VFP9. Many of the enhancements could be helpful in getting your code more compatible with MS SQL. If I recall they did a lot of work to bring the SQL syntax in line with MSSQL like adding CAST(), Varchar, LIKE "..%", and with Sedna you get the new upsizing wizard.

MSSQL 2008 has new Date, Time, datetime2 and datetimeoffset date/time related data types. See
