I learned survival skills. I'm ready to guess that you went through grade school and high school with the same bunch of kids. I attended 8 different schools. We always moved during the middle of the year, so I had the joy of walking into a classrom of kids I did not know. I made some great friends, but I can't say I look back fondly on my grade/high school years.

College OTOH, was great. I was in the same boat as everyone else.

Don't get me wrong. I don't regret growing up in a mobile family. We lived in 7 different states and 1 foreign country. It was a fabulous learning experience. I laugh when I see bumper stickers proclaiming "Montana Native". I just explain that I have been to 49 of the 50 states and 13 countries. I choose to live in Montana!
