What make you think you're out of the dictatorship right now :) ? And for your information the last dictator is far less than 50 years ago (romania, I forgot the name). The removal of each dictator is causing conflicts like this (Tito in the case of former yugoslavia).

I don't see how the US would stop us from killing eachother again and again, that is a task for ourselves. The intervention in former yugoslavia is a different matter altogether and its operations were under the flag of NATO, not under the US. And if you're referring to the disaster in scebrenica (spelling?), there were different components to it of which a US component. See
