That's pretty ugly, don't you think? All that has to happen is for the file to accidentally get deleted, and...well, I'm sure you get the picture (no pun intended, despite my reputation). What would really be nice is to be able to indicate an offset to a picture in a DLL, the way you can for icons on the short cut.

My experience is that anything I can do to make the application look professional helps. Users intuitively seem to have more confidence in it.
