hhhmmmm, implying you have real intellect huh?? I've gone through the stages of acknologing any explanation of invading iraq, but this seems far more likely. Have you read the link ?? That is providing more intellect than I've seen than in any other explanation of the US presence in Iraq.
Since you seem to claim 'real' intellect, give me a plausable explanation of the invasion of iraq. And don't come with ridicoulous explanations of getting rid of saddam or his sons. There is no reason why they had to be neutralised with a trillion dollar war. There are better and more cost effective ways to deal with them. So give me a real intellectual explanation.
I'll be waiting....
The fact of the matter is that US is not looking for spreading democracy as it would force them in a much more difficult situation. It is far more easier to deal with puppet states and dictators that can be manipulated much easier than a state with a democracy.
Only when they are faced with a state that is not cooperating, it is faced with a threat like: 'You'll do as we tell you, or else we'll bring you democracy':)
