Really Walter, give me a reason for WWII and don't give me any ridiculous explanations about Hitler or Japan... :o)

That comment of yours was just plain silly, not to mention arrogant. All possibilities and all ideas should be examined and as of yet, none can be ruled out, not even WMD. WMD have not been proven or disproven. The threat of WMD were real - even Saddam promoted that idea for his own gain against Iran, the reality is that we do not know if they existed, were erradicated after 1991, or were moved to Syria. You cannot rule out a single one Walter because you do not know and you are no more knowledgeable about the 'why(s)' than anyone else. More than likely it was a combination of reasons.

(I wrote that in all fairness though I agree with most of Krassimir Petrov's papers)

>hhhmmmm, implying you have real intellect huh?? I've gone through the stages of acknologing any explanation of invading iraq, but this seems far more likely. Have you read the link ?? That is providing more intellect than I've seen than in any other explanation of the US presence in Iraq.
>
>Since you seem to claim 'real' intellect, give me a plausable explanation of the invasion of iraq. And don't come with ridicoulous explanations of getting rid of saddam or his sons. There is no reason why they had to be neutralised with a trillion dollar war. There are better and more cost effective ways to deal with them. So give me a real intellectual explanation.

>The fact of the matter is that US is not looking for spreading democracy as it would force them in a much more difficult situation. It is far more easier to deal with puppet states and dictators that can be manipulated much easier than a state with a democracy.

>Only when they are faced with a state that is not cooperating, it is faced with a threat like: 'You'll do as we tell you, or else we'll bring you democracy':)
