Tracy,

>Most of what you write is so twisted in its logic it amazes me Walter. Really, I sometimes wonder.

Maybe it seems twisted to you tracy... not to me.

>The below is so utterly ridiculous though that it deserves a comment.

>>What would we have thought right now, if hitler succeeded in killing every jew and created a new world order with a 'volkswagen' and a job for each and every citizen in its empire? We'd probably would not have defined him as evil, but as a hero that succeeded in overcomming the depression of the 30's of the previous century.

>The idea that if Hitler had accomplished what you wrote that the world would consider him a hero is terrifying. That you could consider it amazes me.

In fact there is a movie illistrating this scenario.

I think you need to take a bit longer to think about it. Hitler was regarded as a Hero in prewar Germany by most germans. If he had won, do you think the public opinion would be different? the few that would oppose him, would get eliminated. Again, the rule "The winner is always right" does apply here, not matter how 'wrong' disguisting or immoral it was.

Now you have a point here, that he had no conscience, but many important people in history didn't have either. Go back to the roman days ...

We have quite a few Dutch hero's living in the 17th century. However history forgets to mention the cruelties commited by them. Their status will be measured by their accomplishments to the nation, not neccesarily humanity.

>conscience, like Hitler, then follow Bonhoeffer." - Martin Luther King, Jr., speaking
>about Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the martyred World War II pastor

Gandhi... yes I agree much with him.

Look, I'm not describing what I think is right or wrong.. Its my observations... We can agree or disagree with it, but if it is a fact then we have to take our responsibilities and act. So yes, I agree with your quote.
