Yeh, the pilots sounded pretty cool, but think the passengers on the starboard side aft wouldn't have been, a few of them would have spotted there shorts. <bg>
The fact that the plane was still able to maintain its angle of ascent was quite amazing.

thousands of times each day and is
completely routine. A bird strike/engine failure during takeoff (especially with a twinjet) is one of the most serious emergency scenarios, but these guys make it sound just like another day at the office. My hat's off to them.
