Despite all the hype, Weight Watchers, Nutra-Systems, etc rarely work. Subway's Jared is definately not normal.

Losing weight is all about calories. For a week, carefully track what you currently eat and how many calories you eat. Then start to figure out where you can cut. Most Americans can cut out sodas and lose weight just by doing that, but it may not be enough. Also, don't clean your plate at meals. When you're full, stop eating. I've started eating one Lean Cuisine at lunch, supplemented with fruit and/or yogurt. I don't have anything else until dinner. Don't snack within 1-2 hours of bedtime.

Make sure you have a regular exercise program. At least an hour a day, three days a week.
