In any event, anyone who get certified deserves credit for their effort. So, I laud and applaud your CNE recognizing you were more energetic than me. Maybe it was my fear of someone telling me I was certifiable?
>Not necessarily absolved, but definitely applauded :o) Certifications do serve a purpose - they test your knowledge of specific technologies (but not necessarily how to apply that knowledge). Novell is like any other certification, I was always more impressed by someone who had actually had to use that knowledge on a regular basis and not on a piece of paper. I met quite a few CNEs who couldn't perform basic tasks on a Novell system let alone resolve issues and quite a few admins who were excellent but never bothered to take the tests to get certified.
