Thanks, Craig, for stating succinctly the fact that there is no Team anymore. All of the devs are still there but time-constrained but there are no more experienced PMs or testers. Furthermore, I'm not sure what the budget is for resources for VFP related work but I would hazard a guess it's miniscule. Alan and Milind mean well but they are handcuffed.

IMHO, future patches and SPs will have to be vetted very carefully by the community.

He could not guarantee that anything would be done because there is no team and if things can get worked on, he could not guarantee a time frame. There are other issues regarding testing and distribution (hot fixes, another SP, or some other method) that had to be worked out. The bottom line, Alan did not say "no". So, the door is open that things may happen.
