Allie is going to be starting out at a community college. She did the bare minimum all the way through high school, just enough to get by. Given that, a four year school doesn't make sense right now (even if she could get admitted). We're going to give this a try and see if she discovers some motivation. If she gets a job for this summer, which she hasn't yet, I hope it is such pure drudgery she decides that isn't the way she wants to spend the next 40 years. She's not dumb, just lazy.

>Congrats! Will she be going on to college? If so, does she know where yet? Haley will be a senior next year, although she only needs 1 class to meet her UNC requirements.

>>>What ever happened with your writing? I started reading a new book today (not new, but new to me) and two of the characters have the same names as in my book. One even has the same job. :( Now I have to find another name that will be suitable for those two... :(

>>Wow, there's an old message from the archives ;-) I remember posting that. It was one of those drunken ideas that seemed like a good idea at the time. Bleh.

>>What has happened with my writing is easy to summarize: nothing. It's still an idea kicking around in the back of my head but it's not something I am working on now, at all.
>>
>>Here's best wishes to your book(s), even if you do have to change a name or two.

>>Well, I now have one high school graduate. I always enjoy graduation ceremonies, even if they are corny. I know your time is coming as well. Is Haley going to be a junior or a senior? Senior, I think.
