Make sure you don't have the database open in the VistaDB Data builder or a connection in the serverExplorer when you are trying to get the data from the BLG. Also, you mention you checked the database names in aBusinessObject. Are you referring to the key as defined in the app.config? The connection string is a little picky too so you might start with adjusting your connection string in the app.config. I had some troubles with this in the beginning until I finally got it just right.
