I love the scene where a reporter on the scene rushes for a pay phone to tell his newsroom that the sound barrier has been broken and a military guy refuses to let him, on the grounds of secrecy. (With NASA, the government got over its reticence....)

A GREAT movie.

I've seen it many times. It came out when I was in Aeronautical Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. EVERYONE saw it.
