Everyone always forgets about the devaluation of the dollar. The only accurate comparison is one I saw (not recent) that showed the price in most countries at the equivalent U.S. dollar rate. Our gas is typically MUCH more expensive NOW. I don't see the value of the dollar going up any time soon either.
