Ah so, all because the Canadian dollar is not that much stronger than the U.S. dollar. Once again, the difference in the other locations (equivalent price in U.S. dollars) is due to the devaluation of the dollar against some currencies...

>The current price of gas here is around 1.45$/liter (or 5.48$/gallon). 1 Canadian dollar = 0.99552 U.S. dollars. So a gallon of gas here cost around $5.50 US.

>From what I could find here http://www.fuelgaugereport.com/sbsavg.asp, you pay $3.92 US for a gallon of gas.

>I'm forced to conclude that we pay 40% more than you for the same product... ;)

>>Everyone always forgets about the devaluation of the dollar. The only accurate comparison is one I saw (not recent) that showed the price in most countries at the equivalent U.S. dollar rate. Our gas is typically MUCH more expensive NOW. I don't see the value of the dollar going up any time soon either.
