Good morning,

A couple of weeks ago I started having a problem where every time I make a writable CD compatible (basically closing the CD) and when the CD is being ejected, windows shuts down. What I see is a dump blue screen that says something like this:
A problem has been detected and window has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer.
...
Check adequate disk space and if the driver identified in the Stop message, disable the driver ...
... BIOD Memory Caching and shadow
The STOP message points to 4 hexadecimal numbers. Is it possible to find out the exact driver causing the problem from these numbers?

This PC runs XP SP2.

The only thing that I recently installed was doPdf.exe but I uninstalled it and still have the same problem.

Any suggestions, please, short of buying a Mac <g>.

(P.S. Not surprising that my kids recently, as they both need new computers, decided to go with Mac.)
