I think it may have something to do with being fed up with the political correctness crap. Someone is out there committing all these crimes, but the libs don't want to hurt anyone's feelings by accusing them of the murder, rape, robbery, etc. And, if the person does get convicted, it will be a sentence to remedial something school, where they will help them with their self esteem. It might also have something to do with the frustration over people getting sentenced to "life" in prison and then finding out that means 12 years.

I'm not mad about it, but I am frustrated with the "criminal justice" system, to the point that I do a local radio segment every week to help address the repeat offender problem. We had a guy who had been arrested 449 times, and there are 139 others who have been arrested 100 times or more. Anarchy is what we have today, in a semi-controlled sort of way. In Memphis, we have over 52,000 people who have been arrested between 6 and 15 times. This stuff is enough to make you mad!
