>Im message #1324282 I asked how VSS can be stopped in a batch file. I have now discovered Taskkill and PsKill. Taskkill is a tool in WinXP Pro and Vista. PsKill is a tool from SysInternals.

Peter,

it the sense of o taskkiller to ignore ON SHUTDOWN. Same happens if you set ON SHUTDOWN * and use ++ to kill the process. I tries tho shutdown, the appp denies it will ask you if you like to kill it and - woosh. If the app does not know how to handle ON SHUTDOWN fast enough dataloss may occur.
