An invalid page fault has occurred in module excel.exe at 0137:30001f01 is the error message.

Here is the situation:
A user opens two workbooks in the same Excel Window. She selects a range of cells (a3:d12) for example. She hits ctrl-c to copy them, then goes to the other workbook, selects a cell and/or range (tried both) and hits ctrl-v. Excel crashes with the above message.

Also, right clicking to copy/paste, using menus, using buttons...no difference. Excel 95 and 97 both give the same error. Various machines and operating systems as well. Win95a, Win95b, Win98, WinNT. All the same thing. This doesn't happen on every spreadsheet, only these two. I have tried it with Excel 97 with and without SR-1 on it. I have tried it from the server (Novell 4.11 with current patches) and have tried it from an NT server and from the local drive.

The files themselves are in Excel 95 format and changing them into Excel 97 format didn't help either.

Now for the strange part. If you open them in two separate Excel windows, then do the same thing, it works fine. No crashes at all.

Any help? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help, tips, ideas...
