Dragan, somebody on the minimum wage may be very happy to start their day with a cheery chant before the shelf-stacking starts. It may even be the highlight of their day. We can't know. We do know that Walmart is supremely efficient at cutting costs, meaning they wouldn't pay people to chant just for the heck of it. Obviously they believe there is a morale or other benefit that makes it worth it.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
