We do know that Walmart is supremely efficient at cutting costs, meaning they wouldn't pay people to chant just for the heck of it. Obviously they believe there is a morale or other benefit that makes it worth it.
Yes, if they can't be happy because we pay them well, let them at least be happy because we force them to cheer.
