Well, if I open the form and immediately look at the grid, it shows the same client name for each record. But if instead I click the next button to move the record pointer and then look at the grid, it's as it should be. So it's like the relation is set, but hasn't "clicked in." I put a GO BOTTOM followed by a GO TOP for the controlling table to move the record point and try to get the relation to click, but still if I look at the grid without moving the record pointer via the next button the grid does not display the names properly. So I'm moving it along, but haven't gotten the exact solution, yet. I've really let myself get too distracted today. Now I have a bunch of time to make up. Bad me.

>>Good thought, but it still is not working. By that I mean that the column displays the same client name in each row, despite the fact that for each row in the controlling table, CUSTNO (the field on which the relation is built) is different. I have checked the index and it seems fine. I have set the same relation in the dev. environment and browsed the tables and the relation seems to work fine. I will have to now check it at runtime to see if it is somehow getting screwed up at that point (I already checked to make sure it exists via the Data Session window, but did not check in more detail, yet).
