We do NOT disagree on the value of them to our community. That is, I value their overall contribution and their knowledge very high.

What I remarked is that these same people apparently did not value the time and effort someone else made to that same community. On the contrary, they blamed that person for that. Do you share their opinion here? I propose you leave the details out and discuss the abstract, ethical case.
