>>>LOL. Maybe so, but you'd be one of the guys to share pitchers with.

>>In former times, yes, I was. Now I'm doing my best to stay sober.

>Good for you if that's what you know is best for you. Still, though, you could be the teetottler at the table yakking with John and I while we downed some drafts. It isn't about drinking or lack thereof, it's about good company.

>Side note: Several years ago Ed Rauh, Craig B., and I briefly discussed my idea of having a 1 or 2 day get-together of VFP folks at Stone Mountain, Georgia. Families welcome and there would be no (or few) technical sessions. The whole idea was to further the bond of the community, networking, and maintain friendships. Now that Kevin Cully has ended Fox Forward I've been thinking that it's an idea worth reviving.
I might show up for that. I don't go to Fox conferences any more, and user group meetings only rarely, so this might be my best chance to see some of the old faces (and meet some new ones).
It doesn't bother me at all being around people who are drinking. It doesn't make me want to drink, Most people can have a couple of drinks and handle it. Not me. I want 10 more. Definitely better not to start.
