Strange, I do this often, and have never seen this error. In one of my applications I have a pageframe with relative many pages, so it takes a long time to open it in the designer. When I need to add a new page, I usually design and test the new page as a separate form, and after the testing is done, I copy-and-past all the object to a new page in the pageframe. I have never had any problems with this approach. My guess is that one or a few of your objects "refuse" to be copied. Try to move only some of the objects, and see if that works.
