No, it's the assertion of the age old, true and tried definition of the good and bad: "good is when we pillage the other village and rape their women; bad is when they do that to us". Combined with wielding a larger stick, you get the principles of the new world order, international law, purpose and will to maintain the UN and the reasoning behind why the US will never ever give an inch of their sovereignty to any international body - 'coz it's already private property of the K street or some such.
