>>But if US secured exception from international war crimes court jurisdiction, then what is the point in all that ?
>>On the other hand US is very loud in demanding remaining fugitives to be handed over to a UN court whose jurisdiction they do not recognise ?? Sounds completely insane to me.

>No, it's the assertion of the age old, true and tried definition of the good and bad: "good is when we pillage the other village and rape their women; bad is when they do that to us". Combined with wielding a larger stick, you get the principles of the new world order, international law, purpose and will to maintain the UN and the reasoning behind why the US will never ever give an inch of their sovereignty to any international body - 'coz it's already private property of the K street or some such.

>>Pumping money into more military power of NATO in today's post-coldwar world, is like swalowing viagra in the morning and then going to the public beach to play macho <vbg> Where is the merit in that ?

>Having new weapons and never trying them out with live ammo is like being partially pregnant... not possible in real life. What one can hope is not to be too many times in a POS country during a demo.

We have tons of weapons that have never been used. That's kind of idea, that you have such overwhelming force only an idiot would provoke you to use it.
