In spite of the increasing variety of ways to get the news, the proportion of [Americans] young people getting no news on a typical day has increased substantially over the past decade. About a third of those younger than 25 (34%) say they get no news on a typical day, up from 25% in 1998I've spent the weekend newsless. Can't stand the commercial radio and TV for, well, being loudly commercial. NPR was the remaining choice over the years, but this week we just had enough - I've explained it in other threads. So for a few days we listened to web radio - Brazilian music, tango, Roman American jazz (or was it named after the language? Latin then) and the rest of the mental hygiene. Bliss.
