So we're talking about 55 kids or so. I am not saying "no big deal" but it does seem to confirm what I said about the unlikelihood of it happening. How many air travelers die yearly in the states? How many millions of air travelers wear seatbelts in the US? Of those in plane crashes, for how many did the seatbelt make a difference?
You may as well take precautionary measures against being hit by lightning.Yeah, by wearing a tin-foil helmet, right? ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
