Jay - I agree w/ Marcia that the DBI stuff works well w/ VFP. As for calling data entry forms, the controls support a "addtimebar" type method if the user elects to "draw" a new item with the mouse (for the gantt control anyway). Of course, there are also barclick / doubleclick methods which you can use to obtain that item's PK value (that you keep track off as you populate the calendar's appts) to look up data and then display a data entry screen.

There are some issues with modal forms calling modal forms that have these activex controls on them, and if i could remember what the issues are i would spell them out.
