Alex, great point. Blind extremism is ALWAYS a bad thing. Unfortunately there are a large percentage of the public in this country that are lockstep party supporters.

I'm not a Republican (boy, am I tired of saying that) but I am distrustful of Obama and - as a veteran - am strongly drawn to McCain's war record. Character means a lot to me and Obama cannot hold a candle to McCain in life experiences and courage under pressure. Maybe I'm old-fashioned but a proven track record of service to one's country bests sophistry every time. Also, I'm kinda an anarcho-capitalist (a libertarian label) and anti-government so it's a natural for me on issues.

>>Doesn't bother me in the least. Neither does the fact that Palin's husband is not a Republican. Guys, it's a GOOD thing when families are all over the road when one's a politician. It shows they are thinking and not lemmings.

>>>She probably will sink into nothingnes which is too bad because she has something to say. Yes, possibly motivated by money (inheritance) but she knows John McCain better than us. It bothers me to see potentially important information discarded on a sound bite.

>Agree with you. If you are religious (in a metaphorical sense) about your politics you get in trouble sooner or later. One should try to be objective (and it is hard). Look at the evidence while keeping an open mind and then decide who is the candidate you vote for.
