Thanks for the reply.

You are right in that MM2008.WinForms was installed in the GAC on my development machine. That was the first thing I checked.

The deployment worked on another machine, but I have not checked to see of MM2008.WinForms.dll actually ended up in the GAC. If it did get installed in the GAC correctly, I will assume that I can ignore this message for the moment. I also have a trial version of InstallShield Express so I may attempt to create a duplicate deployment package with InstallShield and see how that works.

On that note, do you have an opinion or preference between the VS deployment and InstallShield? In our environment we are not creating deployment packages for commercial release, just for deploying our in-house developed applications within the enterprise. That said we will be deploying to a fairly large number of workstations spread out across several locations.
