Hi All,

I have an app (VFP 9 sp1) that runs using either VFP(DBF); MS SQL or MySQL backend databases. When running this app on XP it performs very well against all databases. When running on my Vista machine VFP and MS SQL still run fine, but when using MySQL certain operations are very slow. I sort of suspect something in the workings of the MySQL ODBC Driver but I'm not sure. I have tested with versions 3.51 & 5.1 of the MySQL ODBC drivers and get the same results. My queries using SQL pass thru work fine but the initial creation of remote views (with NODATA option) can be painfully slow (Several Minutes)!

Has anyone seen this behavior and if so do you have any thoughts or suggestions?
