The O/S I'm running is Vista Ultimate 64bit machine. Not sure about the service pack, I'll need to check, I'm not sure SP1 applies to the 64bit OS. A developer in another office has the same issue and he running Vista Ultimate SP1 on a 32bit machine. I'll look into the Virtualization issue you mentioned, but if that were the case, wouldn't that sitation exist even when created remote views for a MS-SQL database?

The remote views are stored in a DBC once created, however they are being created on the fly if/when they do not already exist in the DBC. IOW, for performance reasons I don't create all the remote views upon startup of the app, but rather when they are first needed.

As for the viruse software on or off, no difference.
