OTOH maybe with the speed of global communication now the banks are having trouble keeping up. I remember hearing a senior banker talking about Northern Rock on the radio (R4 morning news) saying there's no problem. At home I was thinking "you are way out of touch". So don't necessarily expect this to be resolved in a planned way.
