>My hope is that I can identify why this is happening.. If it is a MSFT VFP issue, my guess is I'm "SOL"! Besides the status of VFP, they would no doubt say "It works with MS-SQL!"... But if it turns out to be some anomaly in the way the VFP communicates with the MySQL ODBC Connector and I can illustrate that to the MySQL folks they may be able to help as they have provided OPTION switches to accommodate other dev environments..

I've rechecked what I was doing when I was playing with MySql, and found that
- I was using 3.51 driver
- Options=3 was my setting in the connectstring (wish I knew what they mean - probably is something bitwise and documented on the intertubes somewhere)
- I was doing SPT (using MA/AK's Dataclas) so I didn't even try to use views.

So I've sent a private message to Sergio Djordjevich, I know he was playing a lot with MySql recently, so he may know these things better than I do. Let's wait for cavalry, then - his timezone should be GMT+2, yours is GMT-6 IIRC, so... he still may get it today.
