As an analogy, according to your reasoning, a company's process for firing an employee should be as transparent and public as its process for awarding free cruises to exceptional employees.

If you believe that once someone has been awarded an MVP, then they are automatically entitled to keep receiving it forever, then I might agree with you. But, much as you might wish it to be so, I think you'll agree it isn't.
