Are your DBF and FPT files for this table in the same place? I think they HAVE to be in the same drive/directory for VFP to work.

But I forgot I have copied the memo file back to do some works just before ! I removed it later. The program still keeps on looking for the file. My problem is still there. My idea is to run the application in harddrive while the database files are in the cd-rom and the cd-rom drive name may be different for different user. How to accomplish it ? Many thanks. Harry
