Hi Cetin.
I tried your suggestion and it worked as long as I selected Import External Data from the data tab... and
it seess the VFP data fine
However , if I select New Database Query, it gives me up a list of Drivers, and all the VDP ones come up with an error
It deos not allow me to create a new one.
I am not sure what is the difference between the Option to --> Import and --> New Database query ??
Regards,
Gerard

>Off the top of my head, there should be a selection to use a datalink file (or UDL). Create a .udl file and use VFPOLEDB driver. To create it:
>
>-Right click on desktop, add new text file
>-Rename to myVFPLink.udl (a dialog would pop up, yes sir I am sure change extension).
>-File's icon would change
>-DblClick and continue choosing 'OleDb driver for VFP'
>-Point that file from within Excel

>PS: You asked how to do it manually, right? Otherwise it is easier with automation code.
