Seats at the glass are cool for seeing up-close-and-personal hits, but I prefer being up high enough to get a good view of an entire end of the rink.

In my current position of rabid fan assigned to torment the opposing goalie, I sit up high behind the goalie. I get high enough so my voice almost is unobstructed by glass when I yell at him. Nice thing about seating for RoadRunners (www.topekaroadrunners.com) games is that the ends are general admission, so I can follow the goalie when he switches ends. ;))
