>>>>Hmmmm... are affected by FUD of the R's? Even up here where the taxes are really high, they don't own my property and they certainly don't own me. Fear as an instrument is really a bad idea. Who do you think is paying for the cost on war on terror and the other financial mistakes of the last 8 years? Hint... it is not the ones who are responsible for it.
>>>
>>>Hey, once they CONVINCE you that they need more of your money to "service" you, you are owned and you don't even know it. You pretty much said it yourself.
>>
>>??? The government needs money to provide infrastructure, law and order, army, regulation of this and that. Without it you'll be living in anarchy. My government does not have to convince me that they need tax income to provide health care etc. The government, whether it is yours or mine is responsible for creating and maintaining the environment where you live in right now. If you are calling that controlled, really you're as much controlled than I am.
>
>Lets make a deal to not start answering until we read all of the post.
>Believe me I'm all for caring for the environment. I just think things like Kyoto Accord is BS.

I should have been more clear. I didn't mean "the enviroment" but more the surroundings.

>>I'm more concerned on how our economy is doing...
>
>The more money you take away from people who hire, less they'll hire and invest.

A MYTH... I mean stimulating an economy can be done in a variaty of ways. Tax breaks for investments and hiring people can eliminate the effect you're fearing. It is about the getting the money from the ones who can pay for it (but of course don't want to).

>>What people tend to forget that when global taxes are increased wages are ussually increased as well. If you lower the taxes, the government and market will ensure that extra money ends up anywhere, except your own wallet.
>
>You know that money I was about to give you for your raise, well, the gov't has it. Sorry.
>
>>
>>>Once you depend on the gov't to provide you with services other then the basic human rights...religion, speech, association, persuit of happiness, bridges, highways... etc, you are owned. They don't really even need your property once they have you addicted to their "services".
>>
>>I do regard public safety, public healthcare, and regulation (e.g. FDA, CDC) as bare bones as well.
>
>public healthcare is a good idea, but I don't think you can do it efficiently for 350,000,000 people, plus all the illegals that are running around here. You need something a lot more radical then universal healthcare to fix this. but nobody wants to do it becuase you would put a lot of lawyers out of business and it's too politically incorrect to start enforcing border.

>>>Or they can do what Obama is trying to do, slap half the people in America with other people's money and bribe them for their votes. Why get them addicted gradually when you can do it in one big swoop... promise of free money.
>>
>>Yeah and the earth is flat. What did Bush sr. do with "Read my lips: No more taxes" ?
>>It would be interesting to hear from you, who is responsible for the financial crisis and how you think we can ensure our children a future without dealing with the enormous financial problems right now?

>You don't think Obama is bribing his supporters, using handouts.. err... I mean tax cuts, to get votes? Do tax cuts to people who don't even pay tax make sinse?

Errr. I don't follow this. The average american seems to be very sensitive to the word: Tax, and know you're trying to imply it does not make any difference ??? So why did he say that anyways ? Mind you that the ones who do no pay taxes are ussually the ones who don't vote anyways. As proven in all the reactions up here and also in this election Taxes ARE a strategic instrument in getting votes.

I can't possibly see how Obama is bribing any votes here, as I don't see anything not allready practised in the last two decades (of mainly republican presidents elected).

>FWIW, even the CBS says Obama's numbers don't add up.

>>The world is far more complex than the oversimplification is that the government is evil (however I can understand that after 8 years of GWB) and only is there to get your money to give it away to something that is not in your interests. It is not only very ego centric, but also quite ignorant.
>
>I never said gov't was evil, tho some are, they're just irresponsible self and stupid.
>oh, and that "it's more complicated..." and it "Bush's fault..." argument... you must not have anything to say.

Where did I say Bush'd fault ?
