If someone is looking at Python, I suggest you wait until the next release. Even "Hello World" will be broken.

>John, it sounds like you are open to moving to cross platform solutions. Have you reviewed python? Python offers similar type of thinking as VFP when it comes to Classes and running programs. Runs on everything. Comes with a built-in database. There are many web frameworks and many desktop frameworks. I like pylons for web work and Dabo for desktop solutions. Need Java - write in jPython then compile. Need only windows use - windows only modules (able to use COM, DLL's, etc). Just check it out.
