He stopped talking straight. My guess is that in the 3 a.m. of John McCain's soul he will regret being defeated as someone he only pretended to be. A good man -- a really great American -- who let himself play by someone else's rules.

Not sure a great man would have moved quite so far in a bid to be elected. I was surprised by McCains campaign he seemed a long way from the McCain I was previously aware of.
