>>Good morning,

>>I opened MS Word this morning and saw something I never seen before in MS Word. I see a Controls Tool bar (floating), just like you would have in VFP or VB. I can click on the controls and drop them onto a Word document. I can click on the View code button and see VB code. My questions are:
>>1. What did I click on last time I used Word that brought about this Controls Tool bar?
>>2. What is the purpose of using controls like label, textbox, combo, etc, in a Word document?

>Does it have the title, like "Control Toolbox "? If so, then probably in VIEW --> Toolbars--> you have Control Toolbox or Visual Basic checked.
>It is for creating forms and/or working with VisualBasic in Word.
Yes, it does have the title Control Toolbox. And now, after reading your message, I can see that I can disable it. Funny thing is that I never enabled it; but somehow it got enabled. And I didn't know that people create forms in Words. I still can't see what useful purpose such a form would have (I mean created in Word instead of in VB designer).
Thank you for your answer and help.
