A followup to the VFPOleDB story on Vista 64: Crystal XI (don't know about other versions), 32-bit, installed on Vista 64 does work when set to use a VFP database. Perhaps they have their own driver. Anyway, it works. Which is handy for us, as the Crystal framework class we use does a lot of automatic stuff for us, and giving it up would be at least a minor pain.
I did register VFPOleDB using the 32-bit regsvr32.exe in the SysWOW64 directory; but the odbc administrator in that same directory would not create a DSN based on that. So Crystal is doing something differently. I did not try, from VFP, accessing the OleDB driver through a connectionless DSN (although we do it all the time hitting on SQL, so I guess I should give that a try also).
